Potato Evaluation
Students who participate in the Potato Evaluation CDE develop the ability to evaluate potato products to optimize economic returns for producers and industry, as well as meeting customer needs. FFA members take a written exam that tests their knowledge of potato storage, grading, pests and diseases. Members will identify potato varieties as they become not only better agriculturalists but also better consumers.
The state event is typically held in November.
